Mission Statement
The Public Services Department is committed to enhancing the quality of life for City's residents and businesses by developing and maintaining the City’s infrastructure in a safe and environmentally sensitive manner, and ensuring that public and private improvements are consistent with the goals of the City's General Plan and Local Coastal Plan. Priorities include facilitating economic development, strengthening Morro Bay's image as a coastal fishing village / tourist destination, and assisting local merchants with their business retention and expansion needs.
Programs and Services
The primary objective is to consolidate Planning, Building, Engineering, and Public Works operations into one singular civic entity to provide seamless service to the public, facilitating project development and permitting.

- Maintaining safe and reliable water deliveries including waste water collection and treatment
